Text Box: CSNJ Web Site Visitor Sends Us Photos
A Mr. Brent Rymon of Washington, New Jersey recently emailed us some photographs he came across in his family's collection. The photos appear to have all been taken on the same day. Annotations on a few of them identify the location as Plane 6W, Port Colden, New Jersey and the date as Labor Day, 1918.
Mr. Rymon has given us permission to post these snapshots and requested that attribution be given to The Estate of Franklin G. Rymon of Washington, New Jersey. He believes one individual in the photos is his aunt. He also has an ancestor who was a Morris Canal boat captain.
The Labor Day celebrators seem to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. However, we hope that the lunch for all wasn't that small catch held by one of the fisherman.
We are grateful to Mr. Rymon for this material and extend an invitation to all our visitors to submit any NJ Canal historical or informational media they may have for posting on this web site.
